Dr. John Corlett is Provost and Vice-President Academic at MacEwan University and is also a member of the MacEwan faculty in Physical Education. He is a graduate of Brock University's Biological Sciences program and completed his Master's and Doctorate in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. He has held academic and administrative positions at BCIT, the University of Botswana, the University of Windsor, Brock University, and the University of Winnipeg prior to his current role at MacEwan. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in areas as diverse as exercise physiology, movement control, sport psychology, sport philosophy, sport management and international educational development. His current interests explore the philosophical underpinnings of health and education professions and the role of physical education in the prevention of violence in Latin America where he has worked regularly since 2005 with colleagues in Canada and in Central America.
